Perseus and Andromeda

portfolio

Perseus and Andromeda - Andromeda was the daughter of a king and queen that boasted that their daughter was more beautiful than all of the Nymphs of the sea. Poseidon, the God of the sea and father of the Nymphs, was angered and flooded the coast of the kingdom and sent a sea monster to devour anyone he could catch. After many prayers to him, Poseidon said he would spare the people if the king would chain Andromeda to a rock for the sea monster to eat. Perseus, son of the God Jupiter and Danae, slays the sea monster and later marries Andromeda.
